Erstwhile Muse

Ah, what wonderous ways the mind doth work...

As I was on my way down High Street this morning heading to work I ended up behind a ruddy colored van with the license plate COG PSY. I got a bit of a chuckle out of this, mostly because of the stream of thoughts that came to mind in rapid succession. They were, in no particular order:

  • Cog Psy—ha! That's funny see...because that person is obviously a Cognitive Psychology student, or professor, or someone who works in that department at OSU. See? Funny—ok, not so much, kinda uber-geeky in fact.
  • This van is sort of UBV-ish in style. What if it's purpose is actually snatching up bums for use in weird experiments?
  • That'd make a good City of Heroes character, at least if anyone else had any inclination to play Rogue Clockwork (sadly, this does not seem to be the case). Would be better spelled Cog Psi of course, relegating that charater to being a */Psi Defender but you get the idea. Hmm, choices choices...

On a mostly unrelated note, my various searches for links for this post brought me to City of Sound and something they wrote about semiotics, cognitive psychology and information architecture. I may have to go check that site out some more, seem like it might be interesting...
