So I'm cleaning up my desktop as the first step in a total system cleaning that's in process, when what should I come across but the code from one of those random net quizzes that makes the rounds through people's inboxen. Of course if I remember correctly, this one actually came from a link on meyerweb.com. Folks who know me will probably not find the results too terribly surprising...
You are the grammar Fuhrer. All bow to your authority. You will crush all the inferior people under the soles of your jackboots, and any who question your motives will be eliminated. Your punishment is being the bane of every other person's existence, because you're constantly contradicting stupidity. Everyone will be gunning for you. Your dreams of a master race of spellers and grammarians frighten the masses. You must always watch your back. If only your power could be used for good instead of evil. What is your grammar aptitude?brought to you by Quizilla
Now this is not the exact code of course—the original code was a hackneyed mess of <br>
tags, and badly formed ones at that for modern HTML/XHTML. It was an easy fix though, I just converted the whole text block over to a <pre>
element and let the white space do it's magic. Well, that and I eliminated all the useless <font>
tags that were mucked up in there. You know, modern day, standards based, authoritative evangelical markup grammar...hey wait a minute, that sounds strikingly familiar in some context.
